About us

A lot of people regularly contribute to saate.net in some way or another. Here’s a little more about the team:

Saate
“I bet I could make a nice graph out of that data”

Hey! I’m 30, in Australia, and have been a long time online gamer. I’ve been writing guides and blogging since the late 90′s when I got into Ultima Online. I’ve done a lot since then – you can read more about it here.

Zevia
“You sayin’ I’m crazy? Just because there’s a hotel in my foot doesn’t mean I’m a Boogly Moogly Moogly!?!”

Zevia was introduced to the site after axing his previous venue for PvP podcasts – Saate picked him up and made the offer that he’d be welcome to do articles on whatever he felt like. This has, fortunately or unfortunately, depending on your glass perspective, led to videos and articles being presented on almost anything. Zevia’s game history is mostly rooted in console gaming from the days of the NES, Genesis, SNES, N64, and Playstation 2, with a large chunk of WoW mixed in.

If you come to the site and you have no idea what in the world the newest front page article is going on about, odds are good Zevia’s the culprit behind the mass non sequiturs.

Sinshroud
“..and here’s the best part of the forum, the moderator control panel!”

Hey all, my name is Sinshroud (or Eric in RL). I’ve been playing wow since the first few weeks of pre-bc release. I’ve tried pretty much all of the different aspects and meta games within World of Warcraft; pvp, pve, collecting things, exploring all its nooks and crannies, making gold, etc. PvP wasn’t very viable for me due to my unstable connection and I’ve definitely had my fair share of hardcore PvE.

Currently my busy study and gym schedule is more in favor of the collecting and gold making aspects because I can shape them around my RL schedule and not the other way around. Anyways I’m 20 years old and live in Cape Town, South Africa. Computers and Technology is one of my passions and I’m currently studying Internet Security and Computer Forensic Science to hopefully make a career out of it one day. As for my online careers, other than helping out Saate, I’m also a moderator at www.mmowned.com and www.consortium.stormspire.com World of Warcraft community forums.
