THIS is how you camp raptor pets.

Just a quick update to let you know I’m still alive :) I have three big new articles coming that will each individually knock your socks off! a lot of work for me to get done though and never enough time. Thankfully my new EeePC is giving me a lot of extra time on lunches and in transit to and from articles are progressing.

Thought I might share a screenshot of my raptor pet farming setup. The screenshot below is both of my 23″ monitors combined:

3-Box Raptor Farming - k go!

I can quite easily just sit back and watch episodes of the office while I wait for any spawns at the three seperate camps. The sad reality is that I havent really spent much time 3-box camping at all though, usually I just log them all in a few times each day to check the spawn points. Two darting hatchlings and a leaping hatchling so far aint bad though right? :)

  1. thats a pretty cool setup you got going there. Im wondering what are your computers specs? I noticed that your latency bar is red, do you get a lot of lag? What kind of connnection do you have? Im looking forward to your big articles, keep up the good work!

  2. edit:when i asked computer specs im ment your main rig

  3. It’s an Intel Core 2 Duo (E6850 @ 3Ghz), 4GB Ram, 2 x 500GB Hard Drives, 2 x 23″ Monitors with a Geforce 8800 GTX. Double liquid cooled in a Thermaltake sword case.

Had it for about a year and a half now and it was pretty good when I got it.

As for the red latency bar that’s called playing from Australia :p but nah usually we get anywhere from 300-500ms ping, occasionally it’ll just jump up higher into red and that must have been one of those times.

  4. Thats a surprisingly plain desktop background you’ve got there!

  5. wow Saate. You would 3box spawn camp!
