Discipline Priest Commercial: Smite

Wednesday night, I was only able to get 4 hours of sleep, and the previous night I only got 2. Normally I work the late shift at my job, but I was called in at 9:30 AM to help out setting up for Thanksgiving and whatnot. On the way to work, the following commercial came to me as an idea when I was randomly thinking about the Powerthirst video. Figured you’d get a kick out of it. Fair warning, it’s pretty loud, and is thus not really safe for work.

  6. And now I shall be shouting “SMIIITE!!!” every time I do and “BAD MOTHERFUCKER” every time I get wings. YES! (And thoroughly annoy the rest of my guildies as an added bonus.)

  7. Hmm, is there any addon out there that could duplicate the counting/bad motherfucker? I have passed this video along to my guild and some folks are interested in such effects. :D

There are some PowerAura AddOns that let you choose custom sound effects for various procs – ScrollingCombatText comes with one, for example.

I could create some custom sound effects for the 5 stacks of smite and one for archangel and upload the wavs somewhere for people to download and put in a folder somewhere.

From there, you simply have to give the proper path for your AddOn to find the sound file. (Something like “C:\RandomSounds\Smite1.wav”). I believe ScrollingCombatText can make custom sounds for each stack, as well, so you can actually count it off – don’t know about other AddOns.

If you’d be interested, I can post a video tutorial along with the wavs at some point. I’d like to know there’s enough interest to warrant it, though, before I set off to do so.

Glad you enjoyed it, either way!
